The deadline for nominations for the 2020 Kansas Professional Communicators’ Communicator of Achievement (COA) award is Friday, Feb. 7. The KPC competes for the national COA award from the National Federation of Press Women.
The COA award is the highest award given by both KPC and NFPW. It’s given to an individual for highest achievement in the communications field and service to the affiliate, NFPW and the community. The Kansas COA will be announced and honored at the state conference March 21.
Several WPC members have been named the KPC Communicator of Achievement in recent years, with the most recent being Angie Prather in 2019.
Anyone can make a nomination. Please include information about the nominee’s achievements and involvement in both the organization and the community. A cover letter and resume about the candidate should be sent to WPC President and KPC COA Director Wilma Moore-Black at wilma.black@wichita.edu.
