Courtney Klaus, a Newman University junior majoring in communication and history with a minor in journalism, is WPC’s 2019 scholarship winner. She serves as editor-in-chief of the university’s weekly student newspaper The Vantage, previously working as a Vantage reporter, then managing editor. KPC contest entries due: Jan. 9 early bird, book deadline Jan. 15, others Jan. 22

The Kansas Professional Communicators’ annual communications contest is still accepting entries. Administrated by our national parent organization, NFPW, this year’s contest has undergone several changes, ranging from the types of categories to the requirements for submission.
