KPC virtual state conference is April 2

Kansas Professional Communicators will host a virtual state conference on Friday, April 2.

The conference, which will take place via Zoom, will offer a brief networking opportunity, presentations by two outstanding communicators and recognition of this year’s award winners in KPC’s communications contest and the reveal of KPC’s 2021 Communicator of Achievement.

Conference Schedule
9:30 a.m.: Doors open with an opportunity to socialize and network, hosted by KPC President Amy Geiszler-Jones.

10 a.m.: Sleuthing Superpowers. Learn how Chance Swaim, an investigative journalist at The Wichita Eagle, has uncovered corrupt, slanderous, scandalous stories — from contract cronyism to a false smear ad — as the public’s watchdog.

11 a.m.: Motion Mania. Wichitan Justin McClure has built a national reputation for motion graphics. Hear how his team landed clients that include SyFy, CMT, National Geographic and a famous Wichita eatery.
