Computer Classes for interested WPC members
The second Basics of InDesign class will be on
Friday, June 27 at WSU in Elliott Hall. The class begins at 9
a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m. Lunch is on your own.
During this one-day workshop, you'll learn the similarities
and differences between InDesign and other common newspaper software
such as Pagemaker, QuarkXPress and Photoshop. You'll also spend
part of the day creating several basic documents in InDesign at
your own computer station. The cost for the class is $60 for Kansas
Press Association members and $75 for nonmembers.

will be invoiced for the class afterwards.
Additionally, the Kansas Press Association is offering a Web Ad
class on Friday, June 20th at the Kansas Press Association office.
This class will be a half day class (9:30 a.m.-noon). The focus
will be on designing ads for the Web. Key topics will include
ad sizes, placement and the technology associated with them. Building
ads, design tips and the tools needed will be discussed as well.
The cost for the class is $45 for Kansas Press Association members
and $60 for nonmembers. To enroll, please email me.
